Televisione
Nel 2007 Beppe Severgnini ha inaugurato "PuntoItalians", una diretta-video settimanale dal "Corriere della Sera", collegata allo storico forum "Italians". E ha ripreso la collaborazione con Sky Tg 24, per cui conduce una serie di interviste ("Zona Severgnini") e alcuni speciali.
Dal 2004 al 2006 ha condotto "Severgnini alle 10", un programma di interviste sul mondo dell'informazione e dei media, in onda su SKY TG 24 (coautrici Lucia Zorzi e Chiara Seronelli. Regia di Lucia Zorzi). Per SKY SPORT, sempre nel 2006, ha compiuto un lungo viaggio attraverso la Germania dei Mondiali di calcio: dall'apertura fino alla vittoria di Berlino.
Beppe è ideatore, co-autore e conduttore delle trasmissioni "Luoghi Comuni. Un viaggio in Italia" (RaiTre 2001 e 2002, coautrice Patrizia Balzanelli, regia di Lorenzo Hendel); "Italians, cioè italiani" (RaiTre, 1997), trenta interviste agli italiani più noti nel mondo. Ha condotto "Abbiamo già le stelle", dalla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia (Raitre, 1997). E' stato commentatore del TG1 (1995/96 e 2000) e editorialista di "Mediamente" (Raieducational-Raitre, 2000/01). Ha condotto alcuni speciali per RaiUno: la diretta con Don De Lillo al premio "Bacchelli" (RaiUno 2000); e "Waiting for the Boss", una lunga intervista con Bruce Springsteen a Buffalo NY (RaiUno 2002).
Bsev stato ospite di molti programmi televisivi italiani (da altri è orgoglioso d'essersi tenuto a distanza di sicurezza). Il suo esordio a "Linea Diretta": in collegamento da Londra, intervistato da Enzo Biagi nel 1985.
La passione per il calcio (e per l'Inter!) lo ha portato ad accettare qualche invito di "Controcampo" (Italia 1) nel 2003 e della "Domenica Sportiva" (RaiDue) nel 2004.
Per la televisione britannica ha realizzato alcune puntate del programma di viaggio "Travelog" (1995-98, Channel 4), un documentario sulla campagna elettorale 1997 (ITN), un reportage sulle nuove generazioni in Italia (BBC2 "Correspondent", 1999). E' stato commentatore e ospite di programm e talk-shows in Gran Bretagna e negli USA: dal "Terry Wogan Show" (BBC, 1991) fino al "Today Show", da Milano e poi da New York City (NBC, 2006).
Television
In 2007, Beppe Severgnini started “PuntoItalians”, a weekly live video-chat from the "Corriere della sera" site, linked to his forum "Italians". He also started working again for Sky Tg 24, contributing interviews ("Zona Severgnini") and specials.
From 2004 to 2006 he hosted “Severgnini at 10 a.m.”, a programme based on interviews about the world of news and the media, broadcast by SKY TG 24 (co-authors Lucia Zorzi and Chiara Seronelli, directed by Lucia Zorzi). Again in 2006, for SKYSPORT he went on a long journey through Germany for the FIFA World Cup: from kick-off to the victory in Berlin.
Beppe is the prime mover, co-author and host of the programmes “Luoghi comuni: Un viaggio in Italia” (RaiTre 2001 and 2002, co-author Patrizia Balzanelli, directed by Lorenzo Hendel): “Italians, cioè Italiani” (RaiTre, 1997) thirty interviews to world renowned Italians: He also hosted “Abbiamo già le stelle”, from the Venice International Film Festival (RaiTre, 1997). He was a TG1 anchorman (1995/96 and 2000) and leader writer of “Mediamente” (Raieducational –RaiTre, 2000/01). For RaiUno, he hosted some special shows: the live interview with Don de Lillo at the Bacchelli Award (RaiUno 2000) and “Waiting for the Boss”, a long interview with Bruce Springsteen in Buffalo NY (RaiUno 2002).
He was a guest at several Italian television programmes (he is quite proud to have steered clear of a number of others!!). His debut was at “Linea diretta”: from London he was interviewed by Enzo Biagi in 1985.
A passionate football fan (as well as a keen Inter supporter!), he was persuaded to accept to be a guest at Controcampo (Italia 1) in 2003 and “Domenica Sportiva” (RaiDue) in 2004.
He recorded some episodes of the travel programme “Travelog” for British television (1995-98, Channel 4), a documentary film about 1997 election campaign (ITN), and a report about the new generations in Italy (BBC 2, “Correspondent”, 1999). He has been both a host and a guest at several programmes and talk shows in Great Britain and the USA: from the “Terry Wogan Show” (BBC, 1991) to “Today Show”, from Milan first, then from New York City (NBC, 2006).
